I work in a sign shop, making and selling signs, banners, decals/stickers, and all sorts of stuff. I have a bit of a creative side so it abates my want/need to design and create. I also play drums, I'm acutally in two bands at the moment, though neither of them demand much time. I was in a band called A Dozen Furies for a few years, we toured the nation with both big and small tours, and even ended up on an MTV reality show. It was a fun time, but I'm not sure if I'll try to do it again. I like my job and making money is nice!!

Sometimes I wonder if I weren't better suited for a different time, or a different place, where life seemed more natural somehow...the technology that seems to hold so much promise for connecting us all is atomizing us instead, while sacrificing nature (ours as well as the earth's) for material trappings. Right now I'm processing the irony of this, considering I'm attempting to create an online representation of myself in hopes of meeting someone interesting enough to make a genuine human connection with...

On the other hand, there has never been an age in which such a wide range of knowledge is available to those who seek it. From religion and mysticism to philosophy and science, we have been given a unique opportunity to understand the true mysteries of reality, both internal and external. It's a shame that so many of us choose to waste this chance to acquire such a broad perspective on life.

I see this nearly every day in the students I tutor, and to a lesser degree, in the musicians I work with. Their parents worked hard to give them a comfortable life free from the worries of survival, art & music lessons, private tutoring, trips around the world, and nearly every tool they could need to flourish. All of this seems pretty meaningless and even quite frustrating when you realize these kids have no passion whatsoever. I had a senior in high school who was set on majoring in art, applied to the best schools in the nation, and couldn't name a single piece of art or artist that she admired. When asked the question, she stared at me like a dog that had been shown a card trick, as most students do when asked about their "passions" or things they really care about...

I thought my recording studio would provide me with the opportunity to do something I love while being creative and paying the bills. Unfortunately, 4 years of running my own business in the music industry has only convinced me that this cannot be my career. In order to record and mix music full time, you have to make sacrifices that I'm simply no longer willing to make. Working with talentless musicians, empty lyrics, unoriginal compositions, and those who expect computer wizardry to make them sound good has burned me out. It's getting old, and this year will see me make a big change in my life.

So that's where I'm at - a crossroads in life, examining my place in this world and how I can best help the collective quest for knowledge and
understanding. Last year proved to be quite formative, with a few intense experiences altering my perception of what I should do with my life. I feel like I've always been a student of the world, seeking answers to fulfill my own desire to know. In the past, the quest itself and the breakthroughs that came along with it provided me with a certain level of contentment and solace in this strange world.

However, last year's experiences have greatly shifted what I'm looking for in life. I am no longer content to amass knowledge for knowledge's sake. I want to unite my passion for understanding, my newfound concern for others, and my ability to teach. If I'm not out, I'm usually being lazy in the comfort of my own home.

Originally from Northern Cali (Bay Area). Currently working and attending school. On the weekends, I'm hanging out with friends (movies, shop, dine out, chill at cafes), likes outdoor n indoor sports and love to dance.

I spend most of my time playing video games, but I'd much rather be doing something else. I don't have a lot of friends here in Dallas so I don't really go out very often. It doesn't help that I absolutely hate to travel, especially by car. Which is to say, I love going places...I just hate getting there.

It doesn't help that my dad owns a bar which has ingrained in me a deep seated hatred of the bar scene and drunk people. That's not to say that I don't like to drink on occasion, but the lengths some people will go to intoxicate themselves and the things they do while intoxicated is just pathetic.

I plan to travel to Hollywood, Chicago, Minnesota, and maybe Las Vegas this year.

In the past I've been to the Bahamas, Peru, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Miami, San Fransisco, Chicago, Kentucky (didn't get any KFC though), and Las Vegas.

One of these days I'm going to visit Paris, Australia, and Japan. I *will* hug a Koala Bear.

I moved here very recently (within the past few months) from California to Texas. Being new in town, I'm currently in that mode where people become friendlier and even more open than they normally are as they're actively trying to meet new people and build some semblance of a social network. Technicaly i'm a pagan, but for arument's sake, i'm an athiest. What people call "God", i believe to be more of a singular "non/partialy/sometimes/ever-existing" energy, than an entity. OK, time for the big update for any who has read my profile over the last 4 ½ years.

My son is in college and my daughter has been convinced to live in Waco with her mom so I'm now all alone up here except for the occasional week-end visit. Yes that means that the living together platonically that moved to week-ends only (still platonic, obviously) has moved further to not here at all.

I know that almost all women (and men if they were being truthful) want that pure, butterfly or Old people love. Well I had that (I thought) but she thought differently. She decided to let me know this the Fall of 2004. So here I am feeling like there is no hope because I think that you get just one perfect love and due to poor timing I missed it.

Even though she was the one that said goodbye, we are still only separated (as opposed to divorced) because I believe that my purpose is to be here until I find someone else. It is hard to explain but it is an obligation. If you understand obligations then you get a point :)) Of course that obligation gets less every day ))

After 3 years I have come to the realization that the only way I will ever move on is if I meet another woman that instantly takes my breath away. Or waiting for more time to pass, but who knows how much time that will be? It is very difficult to explain but in life we all have to do what is right and true to our path. Well for whatever reason staying here is what I know is the right thing to do at this time.
